Some Nigerian destinations suddenly gain tractions, and became a fad. We had a jamboree, and it was a great time for local tourism. Our eyes suddenly became opened to unbelievable places within, and we all wowed, and accepted that our tourism is not as bad as we think. Not many of them are world class standard, but we agreed we can derive great experience, and certainly can do some destinations as they are. It was a mixed emotion to see the Nigerian travelling population trapped within, the urge for travel or escapism was palpitating, and they are left with no choice but to go local.   SUNGBO EREDO (QUEEN SHEBA TOMB) Oke Eri, the destination of the Queen Sheba Tomb, or Bilikisu Sungbo as popularly called by the locals is located in a village close to Ijebu Ode, but it is a rugged, out of the road, hidden path! You do not need to be a millionaire to enjoy travelling or to go on a vacation. There are many ways to be part of the travelling population, whatever your status is. You actually need to purge some believes and blocks out of your system: that vacation is for the rich or middle class only, it is not a necessity or its almost a waste of money, it is expensive, it must be Paris, Milan, or other popular sounding destination, it must be luxurious, it deeps huge hole in your finances, I won die if I don’t do vacation, and loads of other thoughts that are inhibitive. Never forget this popular saying: work hard, play harder! This is a bit of a long read, but I promise it won’t be boring!   In my line of business , i have spoken to many couples and families and CEos in Nigeria about using travel for relaxation , improving their health , get better in their relationship , get their team to perform better, and most importantly elongate their lifespan . Many of the replies i get include: i have not finished my house , we have spent so much on the wedding , i am sending my children to school, the company is not doing too well, and the most amusing one- i don chop belleful?
